Poland Warns of "Adequate" Action Against Any Future Drone Attacks
"Anyone who decides to attack Poland in any way will be treated adequately, as happened on the night of Sept. 10," Tusk said after a meeting of the National Security Council, as reported by media.
The Prime Minister placed the blame squarely on Russia for these airspace violations, underscoring that the country is accountable for the provocative incidents.
"We are more precisely identifying those who, whether for political reasons, stupidity or betrayal, serve Russian propaganda and disinformation," Tusk added.
On Wednesday, Poland confirmed that its airspace had been violated by drones, an intrusion linked to ongoing airstrikes between Russia and Ukraine. Polish officials called the incident an “act of aggression.”
Tusk referred to the drones as “Russian,” and authorities reported an initial count of 19 airspace violations.
In response, the Russian Defense Ministry denied any intent to target Polish territory, claiming that its attacks had specifically targeted Kyiv’s military-industrial complex in western Ukraine. Moscow also expressed a willingness to engage in discussions with Warsaw over the matter.
